Rue Cler |
After 11 hours on the plane, we arrived at the Charles de
Gaulle Airport on Saturday late morning. We are staying in Paris in a studio apartment
in the Seventh District, on Avenue Valadon and Rue Cler. The weather could not be more perfect!
Our studio apartment main door, we're on the 4th flr. |
We can walk up 4 flights or take turns going up in the tiniest elevator! |
Last night, we ate dinner at 10 p.m. at Café Central
on Rue Cler – the outdoor cafes and restaurants were as busy as though it were
7 p.m.! Loud, bustling diners
everywhere, including kids, and from everywhere – French, German, Italian and
American accents.
On Sunday late morning,
we walked back to Rue Cler and had croissant and espresso for breakfast. We took this picture below yesterday but it is where we went for breakfast this morning.
Now,
it’s time to see the sights – Au revoir for now!
What great pictures. It's a beautiful city and I'm so glad you're having such a great time. I love the stonework on the streets. The cobblestones take you back in time. I never realized how narrow the streets are. I guess they were wide enough for horse drawn coaches but not automobiles. Rue Clare looks like a pedestrian only street. Lots of history there.
